So my project with
continues. I cheated a bit and made two beasts in the same picture.
Here's the Doxy and two glumbumbles.
The Doxy is often misstaken for a fairy but it is a separate species. It has a minute human form and is covered in thick black hair and has an extra pair of arms and legs. The wings are thick, curved and shiny like a beetle's. They are found in northern Europe and America. They lay 500 eggs at the time and bury them. They hatch in 2 to 3 weeks. Doxys have double rows of sharp, venomous teeth. An antidote should be taken if bitten.
The Glumbumble is found in northern Europe. It is a grey furry-bodied flying insect that produces a treacle, which is used as an antidote to the hysteria produced by eating Alihotsy leaves. It nests in dark and secluded places such as hollow trees and caves. They feed on nettles.
(I've realised that I have to lower my own expectations when it comes to this project. Otherwise I'll never finish. I'll probably move this to scraps later)
